With a landscape defined by rolling hills, historic towns, and a deep-rooted culture of food and wine, Tuscany offers an unmistakable setting for this next chapter of Fencing & Fine Wine. Just outside Pisa, we’ll be staying together at a nearby villa, creating a shared experience both on and off the strip, while training at Sala Scherma Navacchio.
This Fencing & Fine Wine experience will feature Michael Marx and Thomas Theuerkauff, alongside Italian Olympic Champion Matteo Tagliariol as our special guest coach, bringing a direct connection to the highest level of the sport and the Italian fencing tradition. As we continue to unfold the itinerary, each piece is being thoughtfully designed to balance high-level training with the best of what Tuscany has to offer. When planning your journey to Pisa, there are several convenient options. Pisa International Airport offers direct access from select European hubs, while many travelers choose to fly into Florence or Rome and continue on by train or car. The region is well connected, giving you flexibility to choose the route that best fits your schedule and travel preferences.
Traveling in Tuscany
Throughout the week, transportation will be coordinated between our villa and Sala Scherma Navacchio for training. For our planned excursions—whether along the coast, into nearby historic towns, or through the Tuscan countryside—transportation will be arranged to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience, allowing you to fully enjoy everything the region has to offer.

Villa
Our group will stay together at a private Tuscan villa, just minutes from Sala Scherma Navacchio. Reserved exclusively for Fencing & Fine Wine, the villa offers an elevated yet relaxed setting, with expansive outdoor spaces, a pool and hot tub, and thoughtfully designed interiors for gathering. With a schedule that balances focused training and time to enjoy the surroundings, the villa becomes a central part of the experience—whether relaxing on the property or coming together for catered dinners in the evening. The setting creates a more intimate and connected week, bringing the group together both on and off the strip.

Inclusive of daily fencing training with world-class coaches, scheduled group excursions (such as wine tastings, a beach day, and historic tours), and shared lunches and curated dinners throughout the week.
Transportation is provided for scheduled group activities and between the villa and the training venue. Airport transportation is not included.
A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your place. The remaining balance is due by July 15, 2026.
Optional activities outside of the planned group experience (such as spa treatments or personal excursions) are not included.
LOCAL FENCERS (TRAINING ONLY)

Designed for fencers based in Italy who would like to join the training portion of the week. Includes all scheduled fencing sessions at Sala Scherma Navacchio, with coaching from our full staff, as well as daily lunch during training days.
This option is limited to training and lunch only and does not include accommodations, dinners, or group excursions.
